Disco 2 Busy weekend with new Disco

So this weekend I did the following jobs on my new discovery..


Drained and re-filled both front & rear diffs
Drained and refilled transfer box
Changed engine oil & both filters
changed air filter
Fixed a leaking front camshaft seal
changed the fuel filter
fixed the leaking coolant hose cap on the oil cooler
de-greased and jet washed the engine

Found out that the rocker cover gasket is leaking.. order a new one
Ordered front & rear brake pads
Ordered an EGR removal kit
Ordered new Alternator belt

But you missed the gearbox oil. LOL.

Next thing is do you have 2 keys and the EKA code? definitely a must have .

Ah, ok yes I only have 2L of MTF94 left from my MGF gearbox oil change, so I need to order another 2L, not forgotten ;-)

I have 2 Keys & fobs that both work. What's the EKA code ???

EKA emergency key access code. Abfour digit number you key into the lock if your fobs or the rf receiver fail. You can get it from a landy dealer with proof of ownership. Pr a nanocom can read it directly.

Did you get a genuine aux belt?

I ordered a Dayco belt, it hasn't arrived yet. I've used their timing belts and other belts previously ?? Does it need to be genuine ?

depends if it squeaks

Dayco are good, they supply most makers along with Gates.

But can squeak on TD5s

Dunno about oil burners, my V8 has far more bends and twists and that doesn't squeak
