after finally fitting a new feed to my reversing light to make it work (hadnt worked since i bought it just over a year ago) i have found the reason why it wasnt working.
The part of the loom which runs down the side of the gearbox to feed the EGR control box, reversing light feed and supply , hand break warning light switch and the 4 wheel drive switch has obviously been chaffed in the past and the wires have fused themselfs together in one nasty mess.
Anyhow,, if i bypass the mess with new wireing does the EGR wires need to be re conected or will it run without it, as will save me a lot of time if i dont need to connect this back up.
no idear how long its been like it, but was sparking a lot when i wiggled the mass,, so its still live in places,, just not sure which.. also looks like its been bodged in the past as some of the mess has insulation tape wrapped round some of the wires.
