OK So ive swapped the bulkhead on my 1989 90 for a 2001 TD5 one...

the old bulkhead was leaning backwards and the new one does the same, i haven't bolted the wings back as of yet as i know i need to get the bulkhead to sit forward first..

The 2 bolts that go through the footwells are both tight with no washers or shim in-between the chassis bracket and footwell...

and the long outrigger bolts are bolted in and they have no shims or anything in...

the top of my doors are better than they were but they still touch the van panels slightly at the of the door....

in my opinion i need to tilt the top of the bulkhead towards the front of truck but i can't because the brackets...

Should i take the brackets off the bulkhead and make the holes widers/drill new holes so the bracket lets the bulkhead tilt more towards the engine side?

thanks

the footwell brackets are on slots at the chassis end and thus have a bit of movement.

loosen windscreen and roof , loosen the outrigger bolts and loosen the chassis brackets

ratchet strap round the top to the front bumper

put tension on the strap to pull it forwards

tighten all the bolts good and propper starting with the chassis brackets.

Thanks. I read a few forums where rachet straps had been used. Now I know that the chassis brackets will slide I can sort that pretty easily. Mine are covered in underseal ect so they look like one piece of the chassis lol.....
