Hi, first post and after a little bit of advice. Ive got a 2000 Td5, after a tyre change at a garage I nearly lost a wheel due to untightened wheel bolts apart from one. This caused the rear passanger wheel to shake like mad and thus broke a wheel stud.

I know that the hubs are an all in one unit but are the studs replaceable or is it a new hub? I have searched the forum and found one other similiar question with just one response http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f8/broken-hub-lug-bolt-61170.html

Any help would be much aprreciated, this forum has already helped me a fair few probs already...... the joys of Land Rover ownership.

Cheers

Depending how many miles you went after the wheel had been put on by the garage, but if it was less than 100 (generally the recommended interval before checking the tightness of the nuts) then I would suggest the problem is for the garage to fix.

And change ALL the wheel studs as a set.

You cannot be sure the other 4 haven't been over-stressed as well.
