cranked up the p38 4.6 yesterday as im almost finished replacing all the damage done by the mrs, however

no oil pressure

Now it was occasionally not getting pressure a couple of times before she stoved it. It was only on startup, turning it off then on again saw it get pressure.

Now however its stubbornly refusing to get any at all.

Any thoughts? I was thinking maybe something like the oil pump has gone or perhaps something like an overpressure valve is stuck open?

Dont say mains... :lalala: I dont get why it would get pressure after turning off and on again before this long lay off.

I need to do an oil & filter change as to be fair I am not sure when it was last done but I am not hopeful that this will solve the problem.

before this layup though it would do it on a cold start up, then turn it off and back on again and it would be fine and purr all day long.

Look at Saint.V8's oil pump woes, sounds like a worn pump letting the oil drain back down. I assume it hasn't all leaked out while it was stood?

nah i did check that theres some in there :D its just below top level.

Might whip the sump off and see if its full of crud n orl... (cant hurt it to clean it all out anyway can it)

Ill check out saints thread cheers :)
