Replacing the fuel tank on my 200tdi 90 cos I’ve got the seat box out and the old ones pretty rusty.

Britpart are £80 with 2yr warenty. All makes and bearmach are £120 with 1 year warenty.

Anyone got any experience or advice?

I put a few layers of black rustoleum on mine. It dries to a hard finish. Put extra layers along all of the seams and then sprayed dinitrol through a straw in to the folds of the outer guard. Should last a while. :)

My sheite part tank is 7 years old and about to fail despite TLC. It's fitted in the worst way for crud build up that causes the degradation. I'll be going for the Bearmach.

You reckon the bearmach will be any better? Did you paint the tank before fitting?

Know what you mean about the position. Too many books and crannys for mud to sit in
