Hmm, just fitted a Britpart exhaust, centre box and both rear boxes. Fit was terrible

Seems the front pipe into the center box is too short by maybe 5 cms (2 inches in English!) which meant that the rear boxes had to be pulled forwards to bolt to the back of the center box. Now the rear exhaust rubber hangers are horizontal and the boxes are an inch away from the tyres. I also had to trim the rear mudflaps are they were fouling on the rear boxes. All in all not happy. Looking at the system even if the center box was mounted 2 inches further back the cross pipes over the axle may hit the bodywork around the front of the spare wheel well.

Anyone else fitted a Britpart exhaust? I know you get what you pay for, but I expected it would at least fit! It's better than an exhaust with holes in I guess......

I've just had a brand new Britpart fuel pump fitted in the tank of my P38 Diesel plus a new fuel pipe to the filter housing and my mechanic now says i have very low fuel pressure from the tank. Could it really be the Britpart pump? If not, what could it be? It started fine when cold but cut out occasionally when warm and would not start again despite having plenty of fuel and a brand new battery. I've had this work done and it is still the same as before. HELP!!!

Re Op did you get the kit for your rangie? I used a Britpart centre box and it fitted ok. It was not as high standard as the holey one I took off but was fine.

2nd poster if you start your own thread you might stand a chance of an answer... Come on posting about a fuel pump...

I fitted the same about a month ago. Centre box appeared to be ok, I did compare it with the one I was removing. However, the rear silencers were not as good. The o/s/r pipe and box went up ok but the n/s/r was a pig. The rear support on the silencer had been welded in the wrong position, the bend on the pipe was too severe so the rear tail pipe missed the cutout in the rear bumper where it should be.
So I rewelded the rear support inline with the one on the chassis and the misaligned tailpipe I will live with.
Unfortunatley this it what you can get with after market parts.
I did think the gauge of the steel used was quit reasonable. It is warrented for two years according to Britpart.

Yeah, was for my '99 4.6.

I've just measured the center box inlet pipe and it is 1.5cms shorter than a genuine LR box, the overall silencer length excluding pipes is the same. I guess the outlet pipe must be slightly differnt too, else the O/S rear box inlet pipe is also too short, or most probably everything is just wrong.
