hi all

got a mate that wants to get himself a disco ( i may have got him addicted to off roading in my 110)

looking to head off to brightwells provided i can find a trailer for my landy so we can get it back. anyone got any experience with them? disco's weem quite a common vehicle there so hopefully prices will be nice and low!

with any luck - subject to finding a trailer to buy for a good price or borrow we will head down on tuesday!

i dare say youve already done your homework, but brightwells.com anytime after 2 tomorrow should have next eeks list up with fotos so you can have a look and see if its going to be worth the trip up

yup - although going by previous listings it seems they usually have a number of landys about!

may end up buying something meself!

they have a buy it now yes....usually overpriced hopefuls lol......id advise you get there early(9 ish) have a great breakfast in the cafe.......yummy! then go and walk the line until 11 loking over your hopefuls then if your interested in lets say lot 56....when number 50 comes into the hall.....hotfoot it down to number 56 and see them start it up...then you can lift the bonnet/have a listen/look inside etc as it drives up....then go inside and bid
Ive an account at brightwells, but im sure as a one off buyer you have to register on the day and put down a £500 deposit(card or cash)that is returnedsame dayshould you not purchase.....but all in all its a great site, can have really good stock in at times etc and well worth a visit

is it worth setting up a trade account then? any limitations or requirements?

mym ates only looking at spending in and around 800ish - does the deposit go to that?

if your only buying the one car then not worth setting up an account....you need proof of company/trade insurance etc....and yes your dep goes towards it all...drop them a lne/fone and check what im saying is correct, but im sure you need to register a dep before you can bid on the day as a private buyer

ahh thats ok - was thinking it wouldnt make sense for em to charge because thats what the vehicles owners do!

coolio - will give em a buzz tomorrow
