May well be a stupid question... but what height is the brake pedal in my P38 DSE (97) supposed to be?

My pedal is a lot higher than the accelerator (I can almost get my foot sideways from the accelerator under the brake pedal)... I often (in boots) catch the pedal when moving from accelerator to brake.

IS this just an adjustment or is it a sign that brake system needs looking at?

That doesn't sound right - mine are level with each other.

I would have though it would affect you cruise as well, cos it wouldn't shut it off.

Perhaps someone has swapped out he break pedal or... the acceslorator pedal is too low - does it still 'kick down'?

Cruse is fine and she kicks down without issue. If the accelerator is lower than normal.. then I'd keep it that way as I've go used to her reactions now. Can you set the brake pedal height?

Don't know if its linked, but my (ABS) light and handbrake light seam to be taking longer to go out after start-up these days.

Connected?

I also a slight click if I press the peddal gently (could just be a washer or something possibly or the brake light switch)

Every car I have ever had (40+ and counting) has had the brake pedal higher than the accelerator pedal. I think its supposed to be like that.

The lights going out thing could be something to do with a failing accumulator maybe??

F.
