OK this is not a Landy, but its all your fault for encouraging me to fix things myself :p

Daughters Civic had two brake lights out, only the centre window one worked. So I tried to put a bulb in one side, it didn't work, probably because it was not in correctly. I discovered this when I put it back in the light and it fell out

First thing is how the hell do I get the bulb out, it was really hard to reach the back of the light to pull the connector out, no way to reach inside for the bulb.

If I manage to do this and its not the bulbs what else could it be. I thought fuse but then the centre one would not work.

Thanks :D

Any ideas where to take it then

Only Halfords or the tyre places likely to be open over the holiday

Had a butchers on utube now, they all seem to not be for uk civics like the american ones which seem to be more like a saloon shape rather than hatch back :s

From the videos it looks as if you gotta take the cluster out, and the amount of people i see driving about with no or only 1 break light is amazing

Ah thanks, she is going out without it tomorrow so I might have a go then. Might be a job for my new electic testing meter :D

Probably a silly question as top light is working, are they all on same fuse ? Have you checked that fuse hasn't gone , cant see why they would be on different circuits but you never know

Thank you, I thought of the fuse but like you thought they would all be on the same one. Dont actually know where the fuses are on it, but I could find out and try it.

Probably need to buy one of the workshop manuals for it, although it did have a book that came with it. Will see if I can find it.
