Brake lights, other lights, and towing.

Hi all,
Yesterday I changed the light clusters on my p38 because one of the brake lights had blown (a lot of water had got in through a crack and fried it). I was promptly told by the computer which was good.
I have 2 questions:
1. The clusters I replaced with have orange indicator filters and white lights, my originals had white filters and orange bulbs. Just wondered why that was.
2. If I'm towing with a light board, and one of the lights goes on the light board, will the message centre tell me?

You have replaced the new standard with the old standard. If you have wired up to the vehicle towing accessory plug, yes you will get an indication if a trailer lamp is out.
