Anyone got any ideas on what could be causing D90 brake lamps not to work? New fuses and lamps. When the car lights are on the brake lamps don't come on but the rear driving lamps go off when you press the brake pedal.

Also, washer bottle not working. When i press wiper arm there is no pump noise. Checked fuses. Is this controlled by a relay?

Hiya Plook,

Not sure about the lights, although I have just had to go around and add new earth cables to my bulkhead, replaced the engine to chassis strap, seems the old ones were getting a bit dodgy, helped sort out the leccy problems i was getting, with lights being on when they shouldn't, LOL

regarding the washer bottle, I found the press button on the end of the stalk was not working, checked with a wire to the other connections and the pump works. So,just jumped it to the intermittent wipe, now when I push the stalk down i get a wash and multiple wipes, If I need intermittent then I just flick it up once and back down again, Haha. Not sure of the legallity at MOT time, may have to change it before then, but prefer to have washers working than intermittent in the short term.

Cheers

It was a bulb. I'd fogotten it was a double filament.

Fixed the washer bottle problem too, a broken wire on the lever, an earth wire by the look of it. Soldered it and all sorted.

Thanks
