Brake efficiency

I have a series 3 long wheelbase and the brakes work fine but need a lot of pressure on the pedal. I drove a friends series 2 short wheel base the other day and thought that he had a servo fitted the brakes were so sharp. Is this to be expected or should mine be better?

mine are pretty sharp when there not full of crap.

Mine do work well but need an incredible amount of pressure. I thought that this was normal untill I drove the short wheel base. It has passed the mot twice with them like this.

Mine work good if I pump the pedal a few times then stomp hard, i've got a 109

oh that brings back fond memorys of my 2 A did think about buting a anchor at 1 stage
i ended up getting a remote servo from a rover 2000 never had to pump again always hard pedal (i did have to fit a pair 109 front brake drums though as it would pull to the side on the odd accasion )
