Hi Guys

I recently bought new rear discs for my Rangie as the old ones looked like surface of Steptoe's teeth. Went to fit them and the caliper housing is so badly corroded that only one of the silder pistons will move. The other is seized solid.

Is it OK to replace the housing but keep the old caliper? The caliper looks fine and moves freely.

Also I can't find any aftermarket units for sale anywhere. Rimmers sell a Land Rover unit for around 60 quid with exchange. Any one seen them anywhere else?

There are plenty on ebay too. I think most of the usual suppliers sell them.

I think it's more properly referred to as the Caliper mounting frame if that helps.

Thanks Kooky, Rimmers gave me the correct part No (STC1907). I had picked the wrong name based on the online catalogue descriptions. They had none in stock but I see Island have them ready to ship.
