The standard steel rims on my 90 Puma are growing ever rustier and I’d like to fit some Boost rims. Will the Michelin 7.50 R16s fit? I think they normally come with 235/80 R16s.
Thanks in anticipation.

Sadly no, boosts are I believe 7 inch width
7.50 as fitted to the landrover are on a wheel 5.5 inches width. And can be fitted at most to 6.5 inch wheels.
Or so the man who fitted my new boost lookalike wheels said.
So I'm now de_rusting, the old wheels and will use them in the summers untill the 7.50s are worn out. Meantime the new 235s are doing a good job in the snow.

Thought that might be the case. Thanks for the reply. Do you know if Wolf rims are any more rust resistant than the standard ones?

Yes you can.

I've run 7.50's (xzl) on freestyle alloys, which are the same width as boosts, and I've run them on 7" wide steel modulars, absolutely no problems

Thanks for the reply.

No worries!

The 7.50 stands for 7.5" , so fitting to a 7" wide rim will be fine!

This is my spare, a 7.50 xzl on a 7" freestyle
