"No, not the Telegraph itself, that is their headline about NERC. The
article itself sets out the damage that NERC will do in it's present form.

It's online at

<http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS&grid=&xml=/motoring/2006/02/18/mfnerc18.xml>
(or use links to motoring, then features then "bonkers and spiteful")

I understand that NERC is due to be debated in the lords again on the 27th
February. It's not too late to make another effort to make them aware of the
potential effects of this legislation.

Regards

Andy"

So were I to take a team of oxen and a heavy plough all the way down the
lane and harrow it to hell that would not be illegal?

It is technically illegal to drive up a kerb and accross the grass in town,
but who ever gets stopped, for the biggest sinners are the public utilities,
can we now suppose that the maintanance of public utilities, mountain rescue
and what have you will now be illegal ?

You should see some of the ruts the grass cutters leave round here.

Blimey, a good article in the mainstream press, my world has turned upside-down!

The Telegraph's motoring supplement has been very 4x4 friendly for a
bit, and thoughtful about it too, pointing out that 4x4 hasve their
place - not necessarily on the school run as Chelsea tractors.

Anyone know how one goes about getting permission from the Telegraph
to use their article on our site, or failing that, has anyone created
a short link to the article (I've not done it before, so don't know
how to do this). I'd like to put a short link in my sig, probably a bit
"political", but then if all us dealers started making a fuss rather
than sitting back and letting things get rolled over us........

I hardly ever read the Telegraph (I usually fall asleep by page 2) but after
this I might take out a subscription! Good on yer, chaps.

I'd half expect to find how to ask permission on the telegraph website.
Failing that contact the Editor.
