Hi there guys,

As simple as it sounds - blue smoke coming out of exhaust (definitely burning oil). Noticeable enough that you can see a nice cloud on a still day. Increases when accelerating, more than would or could be considered normal.
Only a few weeks with my td5 so just learnings it. Can you guys tell me common points for oil leaking into system and getting burnt. Hoping just an easy seal replacement.

She runs fine otherwise

Cheers

Monitor oil usage first.

Apologies didnt put it in my post. I know its burning oil. More than I would expect for this engine. Just need the common spots that oil leaks tend to occur on these
Simple stuff first.
With engine hot and idling, loosen the oil filler cap, does it sit there rattling around or does it blow off?
Remove and check the trunking between the air filter and the turbo, is there much oil in there?
When you cold star it, is there an initial puff of blue smoke?
What oil are you running?
