When I built the landy 4 years ago I primed everything and sprayed it with hammerite (it was very cheap). Until last year it looked great but it's gone very dull now and won't polish up. I'm tempted to:

1. Buy a blasting kit for my compressor and take the hammerite off and paint it by hand.

2. Paint over the hammerite.

Which is the best option?
What do you think of synthetic paints for hand painting?
What blasting kits are the best to use with a 25L compressor?

try to wet sand a spot with 600-800 grit and then sees if it will buff out
