mornin all

i have entered a charity rally in august 2008 which goes from france to portugal. held over 4 days .there are 4 of us going and i am wondering roughly how much its going to cost in fuel.
its about 2400 miles in europe and about 600 miles in the uk round trip.

were going in my 1,8 freelander, which isnt great on fuel but on a run isnt that bad,

i went to bath 3 weeks ago from blackpool and the round trip cost £100
which i dont think is bad?

we have all put £150 each in the kitty for fuel.

i was going to bring the trailer for the bits but i am going to be useing the roof box which will bring the econamy down.

any advice on being over there would be greatly receviced.

i will be taking out the international breakdown cover just as a precaution.

here is the link just in case anybodys not doing out august bank holiday weekend.

I think the loss in fuel economy will be no worse pulling a trailer than a top box.
At least the trailer is always close to the tow-vehicle, so has little air to push out the way.
A top box on the other hand . . . . . . .
