Hi all

Does anyone know if black box solutions offer discount for landy zone users? I'm thinking about getting a faultmate extreme for my 03 l322 range rover but before I purchase it want to check about the discount.

Matt

Hiya Matt
BBS does offer a 10% discount on this forum, but to established members only.
The criterea of established members is typically greater than 6 month membership and over 50 posts.

We do this for 2 primary reasons.

First, so as not to annoy or compete with our distributors who often have to buy in bulk to get discount.
I have stuck my neck out more than usual to help LZ's to get a better discount on the recent P38 FCR group buy Paul did, but this was / is a new and pretty unknown product, and getting it known and recognised for how good it is sooner rather than later is / was a prevelent factor that distributors can only also ultimately benefit from.

Second, we wholey appreciate boards such as this giving us some lattitude in respect of the commercial aspects of our presence. It's good to be here anyway to answer questions, bring news and participate in general, But commerial wise, what goes around comes around and as such it is only fair that we do our best to promote growth and contribution to the board as best we can. So setting such requirements to attaining discount benefits from us is a respectful way to achieve this.

In your case Matt, while you do not technically meet the membership period, your post count, and more importantly your visible contribution to this board is more than sufficient for us to use our manegerial powers to also include you.
But thanks for asking ;)

I kid you not, i had someone ask us for the discount on their very first post, having signed up only 2 hours before. When i declined they said they had been "using" the board for over 6 months but had only just joined.

I would like to echo BBS GUYs words and hope some of the newer members take a leaf out of Matts book. He has posted some excellent info and gets my vote for a discount on a MSV2.

Nice work Matt, looking forward to your findings with the headlamp ecu.

Cheers guys for you kind remarks, the way I see it we are all in this together trying to help each other out where we can. We all have our fields of knowledge and I am grateful for all the help and advice from landyzone members and I hope the info I can contribute can help others out like you guys help me.

Thanks BBS for your kind offer of the discount, could you PM me the way I go about getting the discount, for when I'm ready to order. I'm looking at getting it to try and solve the diagnostic problem I am having.

Will post back the results once I have had a look at the headlight ecu this weekend.

Thanks again :)

Matt
