Hi All, just a quick question about using bio in a 300tdi auto.Do the autos with EDC run ok on the bio coz at the moment im running bio in my manual with no problems but i have no knowledge about the pumps on the auto. I know the autos are slugs but will the bio make it worse or are they ok.I have had plenty of manuals but never an auto but fancy trying one out so any input would be appreciated.

thanks chaps

properly made bio should be fine, used to run my bio in a renault dti auto -went like stink with no fuel issues. My 300 tdi manual is on its 3rd or 4yr of not seeing a petrol station.
Also just run 50 lts through my mondeo tdci to see what happened, nothing bad except my dino mileage has increased from 46.8 mpg to 54,5 mpg (bio must have cleaned the injectors)result !!.Going to revisit the mondeo on bio in the spring when it warms up again
Be careful with commercial bio though, not always quite what it is meant to be,and this time of year must be winterised.

Make sure your glow plugs are all in good order as with bio you need them(bio not as volatile as dino diesel)

I have an auto and have used bio and 30%svo to 70% diesal for the last 20,000 miles with no problems.

Been running my edc auto on 100% bio (except for extreme cold weather) for the last 2 years and 25000 miles with no problems except for rotting of the fuel injector return pipes, so I just replace them at every service.
