The first thing I done when I got my P38 home was take off the roof rails, I kept them in the garage and was going to sell them but then I saw a picture of an Epsom green P38 buffed to a mirror shine with roof rails and decided I would put them back on. That was a few months ago and I still haven't got round to it

If you dont want em ill give you some beer credit for them

This explains why it's so difficult to get any !

Every bugger is looking for the same thing .... Definitely on ! (Looks proper...)

Now if you could all participate in an e bay amnesty so I can buy some without opposition for an extremely reasonable price then buff my Epsom green P38 ... I'd be much obliged

I took mine off because the bars were to wide for my roof box brackets, now have standard THULE bars with various equipment attachments which go on when required.

I can't take them off  in my opinion, p38's look weird without the steps! My boss has a p38 (standard as humanly possible) and in my opinion it looks 100x better :D what can I say? I love it :D

Thats good going. Mine were bowing upwards in the middle (most i've seen do the same). The rot on the frame underneath was unreal & the things weigh a bloody tonne.
