Hello all, please help! I drove my 1997 2.5 diesel (BMW engine) Range rover last night and all was well. I started her this morning and found the following were no longer working: Sunroof, electric windows, wipers and washers, stereo, heating panel and heated windows. It literally happened overnight!

The lights indicators and horn still work and she drives and runs fine but that's about it. The above mentioned are not playing. I looked at fuses and relays but cant work out what is common between them all. I have a spare V8 scrapper for parts if the bits I need fit. Thank you for any help and advise you may leave. I am pretty desperate for any advise as I need the car for the kids this weekend and if its raining Im stuffed.. Thanks again...

......Regards..... Ian...............

When you do it, touch the two terminal leads together to earth any static that may have built up in the becm.

Re the EKA code, its always safer to have it before you disconnect the battery but normally you will not need to do anything but reset all the windows and the radio code.

I tried that but unfortunately it dint work. I was driving the car yesterday for most of the day. The last 5 miles of my trip it all came back to life. So I happily locked the car last night but this morning it was not working again. Any other ideas please? Really stuck now. I'm scared its the computer. Help!!!! Thank you..........

Check your fuse box under the bonnet smell it to see if there is any burning they do break down esp on relay r7 can then send odd messages to becm also if the battery is low again it can send out very strange messages

Thank you. Relay 7? Is that the one common with the windows, wipers heater etc? I cant see or understand the connection between them all. I'm a mechanic myself but technical electric is vodoo to me. I noticed the ciggy lighter doesn't work either but the cruise control works and the buttons in line with it work too.

Good point, I am not so good with electrics so I would need the take it to the dealer for anything more technical than a relay or fuse.
