Hi

Had a wee prob this weekend and ta to the AA for sorting us out so quickly. Our truck is a 2002 TD4 auto and we need a inter cooler pipe, yhink it is this one part number PNH000020.Am i right and where is the best place to purchase.Had a look on the net and they are all the same price but the postage differs quite a bit.

What shop or site do you lot use.

Alan.

there are three intercooler hoses, one of which is the 20 (guess how it works, Part Number Hose 000020), you need to check which one you want. there is one to the right of the engine which is just a short elbow, a long one across the top of the engine and down by the dipstick, and another longer one on the right lower down, below the elbow one

if it's the long one across the top of the engine you are changing, they usually chafe through on the engine cover bracket by the dipstick. Get round this by cutting a section off the old hose and putting it over the top of the new one where it chafes, then secure with cable ties (stainless steel are best but pricey) Don't use any form of adhesive tape to secure it as the intense heat turns the whole thing into a slimy mess you can't do anything with.

PNH000020 is the long intercooler hose across the top of the front of the engine and down the side of the dipstick, was about £18 from main dealer. Be careful as there seems to be 2 variants, on has an extra branch with a sensor on it.
