Morning Folks,

Looking for some advice on my 2004 D2. As I work away 3 - 4 weeks at a time the battery will drain overtime.

I have a trickle charger etc and with the garage full of crap I can’t get the Disco parked inside whist away.

Looking for a fix where I can disconnect the battery without having to disconnect the negative everytime I’m away.

Hopefully I can get some advice.

TIA

TBH I'd have thought a decent batt would stand not being driven for 3 to 4 weeks, so I'd be tempted to get it tested. Have you tested it for parasitic drain?
I dont understand your line beginning "Looking for a fix..."
You cannot disconnect the batt without disconnecting the negative, so I think you must have meant something else. Is it not possible to park the vehicle outside the garage but on your own land/drive? If so you could trickle charge the batt with an extension lead and the charger under the bonnet. Possibly using a timer.

Park it facing the sun with a small solar panel connected to the battery terminals.
I put one on the sun-visor of my Range Rover for this very reason. Keeps up with the parasitic drain of the security etc.
