If I were to go an get a Hi-Lift then, what else would I need in to lift my disco if it were bogged as it has no Hi-Lift jacking points, winch bumpers etc...given a self recovery scenario.??

could you thread a strop through the wheels and lift off that?

How ever, if you are really bogged, up to the door handles and all that, how you going to get the bag under there?

They are best for if you are likely to ground the vehicle out. Then you lift one end and stick some rocks or track-mat under the wheels.

Yep, I used them in the Fire Service, great for lifting stuff (like rolled vehicles) that had a very small gap underneath. There was a big problem with instability when they got high, things would tend to roll off them, had to be careful but they were very effective. It was a long time ago so sorry, can't help with advice on small automotive models..
