hi new here and to discoverys.
had my 53 reg es for 5 weeks. came out to go to work and the back end had dropped right down. started it up nothing happened so used the lift button it went straight up. then pressed it again and went to norm ride height. been ok for 2 days. should i worry?

joe:)

just keep an eye on it, if it happens again try soapy water and spray it on to the bags when fully up to check for any bubbles to confirm a leak. If all is okay then check your ride height sensors, they do go (perrish round the circular plastic end bit) their around the £25.00 mark each, and are a piece of **** to fit your self, you dont need to recalibrate the system as it self levels off it's self. Good luck.

Air suspension and cold weather always seem to be a bad combination. The air bags go hard with the cold and that does exacerbate any problems such as leaks but I would be a bit suspicious tha both should spring a leak at the same time. I would look more at the pressure valves leaking which I believe are part of the compressor which is fitted under the floor on the front passenger side. The cover is easily removable by 2 zeus fasteners. It should start immediately the vehicle is started and automatically lift the vehicle up to normal ride height, if it don't then it may be the sensors but there again I would not think both would fail simultaneously, on the other hand if the compressor and valves start playing up, it affects both sides.
