Ay Up!

Hi, ive been browsing LZ for a few days now and have read quite a few posts. I have paid special attention to the 18 and want a p38 thread as i will be 21 soon and want really want a 4.6 p38!

How much should i be looking to spend, not mint condition but good. How much should i be looking at depending on mileage and obviously how much SH should there be for a certain amount.

Basically what can i get for how much. I have no figure in my head but have seen loads of RR around and what should i be paying special attention to when i go to view?

dont do it mate !!!!!!! they are like a disease once you have one thats it , no money cos you spent it all on your pride and joy , forget weekends on the lash , cos you`ll be spannering the rangerover .
i cant speak for anyone else on here but, i enjoy it .
seriously though dont jump in with both feet look around for a good un there are a few about , and take someone with you who knows these cars cos a bad will put you off for life !!!!!!!!! btw its a buyers market at the moment so have a good look round at whats on offer .

thanks rick but there is no stopping me! How much should i be looking to spend? There are loads around ranging from £2000-5000. Obviously the more i spend the better id get (hopefully) What would i get for £3000 and if i spent another 2k how much more would it benefit me?

Get a classic! You can pick up a real nice one for £1500. The parts are cheaper, they're easier to fix. Insurance will be cheaper. Plus they are not prone to the P38 problems with EAS and the like.
