Axles disco/defender

Does anyone know if the 300tdi disco has the same diff ratios as the 300tdi defender axles?
Can any of a disco gearbox/transfer be fitted to defender?

All the axle diffs are the same ratio. The difference is in the transfer box. Disco transfer box goes straight onto defender gearbox. Disco box has longer bellhousing/input shaft so not a straight swap.

Can I unbolt a complete hub/CV/ Swivel & shafts from a disco 200tdi casing and bolt it onto me 90 axle case? Just in case me noo swivels don't arrive in time Was thinking of just undoing the lot in 1 piece and swapping it over.

Spose you could in theory. Might be a bit fiddly getting the halfshaft into the diff. I've just stripped a disco front axle and it doesn't take long at all to strip it bit by bit, caliper off, hub off, stub axle then swivel housing. Easy enough.

Depends on age of 90.

The swivel mounting had only 6 bolts on early axles and 7 bolts on later ones.
