Ok then chaps and chappetas me offside kinpin on me s3 is fooked, should i....
A. get the swivel kit with the housing (£70 from paddocks) (chrome ball) as me old ball is rusty arf arf
B. get the kit without the ball (£21.15) and suffer the rust and slight seepage
or
C. get a disco axle (~£50) and convert it to leaf (£??)

If you are going tot he hassle of taking it apart you may as well go for the kit IMHO. I have no idea what is involved with the Disco axle! Sounds like a lot of faffing to me.

Re above :- Would the front axle then be wider than the rear one?

i'd get the kit wi the ball, your old rusty balls will just fook the new seals, i just got two of the kits wi balls to sort me mega rusty balls :D

disco axles would just be a pain in the arse to sort!

right guestions, answers.....
yep me front axle would be wider not a major problem as i intend to fit a 110 rear axle too when i get round to it

my uncle in norfolk knows a bloke (engineer) who is going to make a set of plates (to convert disco axles) for his series 2 but it shouln't be a problem

ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

steering spot on....series landrover..........

oh stop it will yer? ma sides hurt

Maybe not spot on but can be interesting, I've driven the results of a fooked up conversion NOT FUN to drive.... .. ended up replacing the axle.

shouldn't be a problem, i have done a bit on motors before......

I have ordered the sivel kit from paddocks so i will repair the axle, and i am going to buy a disco axle to prep for when i deside to change it
