Axle changing question

I need to change the front axle on my 110 pick up and a friend has offered me his serie1 Disco. Will it fit? and there is play in the back axle so should i change that as well? Do i buy new shocks as i imagine it would be the right time? Is there anythink else i should do or change at the same time? if its possible. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Front axle will fit, check whether the donor disco is 200 or 300tdi, that affects what width radius arms it needs. What year is your 110? The callipers may be different (dual circuit types) but you can transfer your current ones across.

It would be worth changing the spring retaining bars, shock turrets and spring seats depending on the condition of your current items.

The back axle will fit also, however it may not be as strong as your current one (depending whether you have a standard axle or a salisbury) The spring seats are different sizes, but if your old ones are ok then you can use them on the new axle. You may also need to change the prop flange on the rear diff depending whether it is a 4 bolt or the 3 bolt version with the silly rubber doughnut.

Its a 1995. Will check the other bits. If i need to change them, were would you go to get them? I live in France and the breakers are all ****. I'm also lookin to change the 2 front doors and the pick up bin. any ideas?

Does 1995 refer to your 110 or the disco?

Any UK supplier should post to France, it would be worth asking them prior to ordering though as delivery prices may vary greatly.

As for doors/rear tub:
- UK breakers
- ebay
- LZ classified section
- back of any landy mag
