Rice farm, cotton farm or chicken barns?

That sums up my night of working on this hateful you know what. The big a** castle nut on mine made me waste the whole night, and I couldn’t be loud because “ oh people are sleeping at 1,2,3,4 O’clock in the morning and thy don’t care about you stupid car” said you know who.
So I made this to help with a little leverage

This was all a lot easier when I didn’t care as much about the vehicle the parts were coming off of, maybe I didn’t tell y’all I removed the rear suspension A arms deals off the black one and cleaned em up and painted em black and now I just want someone to show up kick me in ba!!& take a couple hundo out of my wallet and install the stuff. To hell with it! It’s gotta be early enough for the compressor right? Right on. At least Trevor at Roverfarm can get his part done all the parts for the swivel ball “Renew” are here eyeballin me while it moan and complain instead of get to it, but I’m tired and I have heard the same sportscenter 14 times. Ok gotta get this done or wife will absolutely my life a living ...oh wait

What in the hell am I doing? That wasn’t really a question more a scream, dog has done gone to sleep guarding the garage as if anyone but my dumb a** is outside in the cold acting like they know what they are doing. Trevor at RovahFarm did his part, now I just wish I had someone here that knew something about these hateful life sucking vehicles. So yesterday I came home from work to finish welding up the press I started a month ago and subsequently quit on to use my buddies at his real shop and it won’t turn on like “NOPE” not gonna work so ok I’ll do something else flip the switch on the compressor and the worst knocking sound I have ever heard, and I mean worse that this GD car makes when it’s cold Ok I’ll work on ..... what’s that honey “quit messing with your car and go to ‘a rental house we have’ and fix her refrigerator” Ok so I’m working on work after work because I can’t work on the thing that needs the most work. So Bear and I finally get to start the “swivel ball renew” DUNDUNDUUUN You know that sound they make in the show when something is about to happen? Damn right something is about to happen and happen right after I drink a coke have a smoke and t the dog After I wake him up cause, well I want him to be awake since I am! If anyone sees me doing something real dumb holler I’ll chexk it every once in a while but please don’t like tell me the grease I have isn’t as good as that stuff or these pets aren’t as good as that other place or whatever This is sh!+ I have an I’m gonna use it, but if will make my car die or something I wanna know and I take advice really good Thanks if your looki
Sorry if it sucks

So I took a break from posting but not from the constant messin with the car. Some of the fun has left because the more is no light at the end of the tunnel and the necessity of driving longer distances for work is increasing. With every step forward I take two back, I have heard that somewhere.
Since replacing all the bushings and ball joints and tie rod ends to help with the wobble at 70 mph (get to that bit of news in a while) that didn’t fix it helped cut the shakes in half, like a Gatorade does after two two many drinks the night before. Helps but still ****ty. I replaced all 4 springs with two from my other D1 that didn’t lean like this one and two from a D2 because I had them and didn’t want to spend another penny cause I’m pouting. Oh yeah the tensioner bearing and pulley wheel whatever it’s called, I had a couple from somewhere and they were bigger but I asked around and it doesn’t matter if it’s bigger the tensioner will deal with it(remember this RB) both wheel bearings and rebuilt both swivel balls with correct tension still shakes at 70 and the service engine light came on wondered when that was going to plop onto my lap. I have a code reader but for some reason (because If I knew what the issue was I would have had no control over my OCD and would have had to deal with it). Not real grown up but...
So today I plugged it in on my way to work, leave home at 6:50 for the 15 mi. Drive to work, chilly but not too bad. Get on interstate and immediately see the Jeep Cherokee and Tahoe in front of become beside me in the ditch, and about 1/2 of the rest of the cars I see end up there also. So I can’t pay a lot of attention to it giving me live data while driving on ice, while interstate stops good time to mess with it. Stoping and going a few hundred feet at a time I notice that the tach and Speedo don’t match the reader. What it the hell. Usually the forums have all the k do I. The world and if I spend a few hours I’ll find what I think I need but I’m not finding anything on what makes that happen so I am going g to post the question and see if anyone can help before I seriously go off the deep end, that SOB is fully insured. But every night I work on it I wash it and clean it up good because it love it and if I treat it right maybe it will stop trying to kill me.

@RBS Disco been a while since you reported back.....how are you coming along with the old girl?

Well I didn’t stop working on her I guess I just stopped posting. Life for hard and took the some of fun out of it. It turned into work instead of joy. I have her running and driving as good as I think it can be and I have her for sale. I’m amazed at how many people just come look at it knowing nothing about these vehicles. Pull up in an Acura and say that mine rides weird or feels weird. Well it is weird and awesome. The second question I get is why is it higher than NADA guide and Kelley Blue Book, after throwing up in my mouth I ask them to go find another one even remotely close to mine and see what they are asking for it. I can’t find one on the internet. I think they made 500 50th all in this color with these options. The price book doesn’t have 50th Anniversary as a trim level. Needless to say no buyers but a ton of lookers, I think if I would have doubled the price I would have sold it already. Thank you for checking in. I will have another one one day but it won’t be this nice.
