Looking for helpful someone in the Inverness area with a Fault Code Reader, SRS need reset/codes read Nanocom/Testbook etc. (It's not the bulbs)
Would be very grateful.
Also wonder if any tool not Gems specific can read/reset codes? (Nanocom used for Disco etc.)

TAKdriver who's in Midlothian has a Faultmate for his Diesel P38....not sure if he has the SRS (Airbag) software though.
Sure bet is Jimsnapon, located in Kilmarnock..he has the Faultmate loaded with the full software package for the P38 models (Petrol & Diesel). He is a distributor for Snap On tools and covers Scotland, not sure if it's the complete area though.
There are two versions of the SRS fitted, early and late....the early type has the yellow crash sensors fitted just behind the headlamps. Looking at your car details, I am pretty sure yours is Type 1 TRS.
A generic diagnostic reader cannot clear the faults-you need Faultmate, Autologic or dealers Test Book/T4.
The SRS fault light can be lit due to the battery being disconnected or run flat for a good length of time and is usually cleared with a simple reset after the fault codes are read.

Thanks Irish, the members you mention is bit far away.
Sure i have early type 1, yellow sensors at front.
Battery has been a headache for previous owner so can imagine/hope a reset will fix it, it's just if it doesn't and having to pay for a read then repair read/reset again quickly adds up.
Just need to get it working for the MOT and actually thinking of buying a tool but if there's major issues it would be money i could put towards another Range. Have a few know issues, heater o-rings, exhaust manifold gasket & steering wheel lock which may cause it to fail.
You mention Faultmate, Autologic or dealers Test Book/T4 but how about Nanocom?
Are Faultmate & Autologic vehicle specific? if not i might find an Indie to bribe.

Autologic did the trick, it was stored fault exactly as Irish said. (Thank you)
(Local indie Inverness 4X4 centre got the Autologic handy)
