I'm not really getting rid, although I'M GETTING CLOSE.. I think it's possessed by a poltergieust,, following all the carb trouble I've been having, " which by the way is not yet sorted" I took it out for a test drive after the 5000th fiddling session with the carb and it got dark so I turned the headlights on as you would, I limped the car home and went to turn the lights off and they wouldn't.. I tried everything, ended up diconnecting the battery, following morning I went for more indepth look and I can't for life of me suss it, I've had to pull the light fuses.. my guess is a short, but where is anybodies guess i removed the relay and both switches, and still the lights stayed on.

IF SOMETHING GOOD DOESN'T HAPPEN SOON, I'M GOING BACK TO SJ's..

WAH HEY....THE LIGHTS ARE SORTED !!:D I EMPLOYED THE SERVICES OF AN AUTO ELECTRICIAN he turned up spent about 45 seconds behind the dash and £45 later my problem was cured... £1 a second (not a bad hourly rate). anyway he showed me a relay mounted on the bulkhead behind the clocks, and said it overheated.. it has fins on it to keep it cool. This by all accounts it is a gaget for the scandinavian market it keeps the relay cool when running with the side lights on permaently. The question this brought to mind is, "if it's supposed to stay cool, WHY MOUNT IT ON THE BULK HEAD BEHIND THE CLOCKS" OTHER THAN THE ENGINE IT'S THE WARMEST PART OF THE CAR...

And the carb that turned out to be my fault.. I got over excited with the red instant gasket. I found loads in the float bowl..

Anyway I'm back on road..:D
