Anyone made their own Battery box?

SInce i have removed the twin tanks on the series 3 I am thinking about building a box to house the batteries under the passenger seat.

Anyone done anything similar and is it easy enough to do?
 
I'll just buy some 1mm sheet steel and line it with rubber matting.

Or more likely, find some scrap somewhere ... ;)
 
Saying that my fuel tank is leaking so if I drain it out and purge any fuek residue I could use that as a battery box if I line it couldnt I? Cut the top off and bolt it in place?
 
Heh, didn't see the £20 version, I only saw the £75 ... Mind, I'll still make it I think .. the cheaper one looks different, without the lower channel bit I think.
