All bloody good questions. Next time I'm home I'll have another good poke around.

It could be a mod - because although the fan looks standard and mounts to standard mountings, the cable from the Flux Capacitor to the rad is connected via right botch job of a cable join - definitely not the original cable between the rad and the flux cap'!

So someone with no knowledge of how they work has done a mod to use the aircon fans for extra cooling. No extra relays or wiring mods needed with my aircon fans mod.

Not quite - the fan mod is on the gearbox oil cooler radiator - not the main radiator - which is why I'm struggling to see that it is a mod. However, I don't think fans on the gearbox oil rad' were fitted to every 2.5D - but perhaps the mounting points were common and then the fan was added afterwards as a botched upgrade.

But I am going to use your mod on the main rad'.

However, I will need some help on understanding bits of it, for sure.
