as amusing as what the youth of today get up too...

I did some metal working the other day and made my daughter a name thingy for her to hang off her door. I had to do the form working on the top of an 10" vice as thats all I had that was sort of suitable. Id quite like to get into metalworking a bit more. An anvil is the proper thing to use

It has a dead area from just in front of the hardie hole to the heel but the front of the face, the table and the horn are live.
It's seen some serious hard work at some point in it's life

Have you tried a scap yard to see if they have any railway track. it might put you on till you find a proper anvil.
