Got an odd situation
When I turn my headlights on the indicator warning light (2 green arrows) stay illuminated. When I turn the head lights off but keep the side lights on they aren't lit up.
If I flash the headlights the indicator warning light comes up as well as the blue flash warning light.

However no indicators illuminate on the vehicle when the headlights are on.

I can indicate and the green double arrows flash as they should along with the correct indicators but the headlights do not try and light up.

Before this happened all I did was wire in the gauge back lights. However if this had caused the problem I would have thought the arrows would illuminate any time the gauges lit up but the arrows only appear when the head lights are on either dipped or flashing.

I haven't touched the headlight wiring for two weeks and I used brand new bullet connections. And made brand new earths. And they worked fine before I played with the gauges.

This never happened before and only occurred yesterday. I can't see anywhere where the headlight and that warning light would have any connection except for the 2 earth shared by all the lights at the front of the vehicle. Which are brand new with the correct wire and everything is still in place.

If all the actual indicators / side & headlights work correctly it sound like it is a warning panel issue. Have you checked to make sure that the two 'ribbon' style connectors on the warning light cluster are fully seated and that you haven't dislodged one doing the backlighting job?

Cleaned off all the ribbon style connectors when I first got it and it all worked before. Took all the wiring off I did before this happened and still doing it. I'm going to trace the wiring from the headlights back to the instrument panel and see that every earth is intact and that there are no damaged wires.
