Hi people. .got a question about the keycode pain in the rump problem, due to being laid up for a number of weeks (me and the p38) the battery was completely flat and the keycode had kicked in. I removed the battery to put it on a long charge. After putting back on and waiting for the message to disappear I entered the EKA code and tried to resync the key fob..nothing apart from the usual engjne disabled warning. I've replaced the fob batterys and tried again. No joy. The central locking doesn't seem to be working either. An Ideas please
Thanks

Do the switches first and then have a look at the white block connectors behind the A post kick panels, mine were corroded so I cut them out and soldered the wires together.

Engine disabled message means the EKA code is needed. Once the correct code has been accepted and the engine disabled message has gone, the engine should start and you can sync the fob. You cannot sync the fob with the engine disabled message showing.

Cheers. Sounds like the switches aren't working correctly, and the code's not being accepted. Should the alarm tone sound for every key turn do you know

Thanks. must admit not looked at dash whilst entering code, will check when I try again. I've had the alarm tone sound on some key turns, not all of them.

Thanks to everyone who help out with ideas and suggestions. Problem solved, suddenly became sensible and checked in the (rave) owners manual and read that you have to turn the key 4 times to the lock position before entering eka. Stupid of me I know. Always read the instructions should me my motto.
Ta everyone
