Alternator and water pump pulleys

Hi, just pulled the rad, intercooler and alternator out in order to do some over due maintenance. Now I cant get the old alternator pulley off. had big bars on but wont budge.
I am also replacing the water pump but cant get that pulley off either.
Any tips gratefully received.
