My Alpine multi-CD player jumping got to the stage where I had to do something about it, it was almost jumping before I got to a pot hole!

As it turned out it was the easiest job to do on the Freelander

The little round disk attached to the spring controls the suspension on the deck....Mine was all the way to the bottom

A quick adjustment moving the spring to the top giving it full suspension again. This completely cured all jumping (went down the worst road I could find). Job Sorted...Jump Free Music.

So do you think it was in the end state position originally ? and a massive hole knocked it down ?I wonder how much a garage would charge you for that ?

No I think the first setting was right for it when it was new all the rubber side mounts were soft, but as they aged and got a bit more stiff then the springs needed to do a bit more....I was wondering what a shop would have charged for it too
