Hi all, just acquired a set of disco alloy wheels and want to fit them on my defender 90. 1990. They will not fit due to the hub bolts is there any way around this I.e wheel spacers defender has discs on front and drums on back. Don't know if this makes a difference or not. any help welcome. The easiest and most straightforward option is to fit 30mm spacers as not only will this allow you to fit the wheels without any problems but you can also fit the centre-caps as well, anything else (5mm spacers, triming the rear of the wheel etc) will not allow these to be fitted and leaves the set-up looking incomplete.
Make sure you get the spacers with the spigot and not the flat ones as this is what takes the weight, not the wheel-nuts.
Goes without saying you need the correct wheel-nuts as well but I assume you already have these?
