Turns out i have bought a set of range rover 16 inch alloys for my 1998 90 defender, guess what they dont fit, can i get them to fit or am i wasting my time
 
You don't say what model of RR but as yours is a 98 model Def can only assume not a RRC.
Adaptors are available but you will need to identify the wheels first and then see if you want to buy the adaptors. Alternatively sell the wheels and buy some that fit straight on instead.
