alarm RF

Hi guys, just tracking through the list of things to watch for with my new P38 as found on this more than excellent Forum..

so.. the Alarm RF unit i have is the interim one ( as shown in the pics on another post ). i've disconnected the blue cable... should i still look to replace this with the Later one.. or if the Interim one ok ?

Also, not sure about my Matrix Orings.. i can see blue/green crystalline stuff around the Heater vent ( drivers side tunnel) and on the bottom of a cable bundle there.. but so far after 2 days of ownership.... no wetness, and nice warm air... so maybe they have been replaced at some earlier time ?should i await untill i actually find water befor i start and take the thing apart ?

as for the rf reciver it will work with just the blue wire disconected but you will need to be closer to the car to lock/unlock

Blue wire disconnected will be ok for a while but not replacing the receiver in the long term can burn out lock motors. Keep an eye on eBay, got mine for 50 quid new, but be sure the internals look like they should.

Monitoring coolant level should give some confidence that the o rings are ok. Good luck!
