Hi All,
Can you swap the alarm ECU over from a 2003 pre faclift to a 2005 facelift?
Only reason I want to do that is for the key fob as we didn't get one for the newer car.

I believe the alarm ECU (CCU?) is coded to the engine's ECU - so they have to be swapped as pairs - then you have dash issues with mileage as well I believe.

Might be easier to get the fob's code programmed into the CCU - I think it can be done with a Hawkeye diag unit.

Lots of uncertainty I'm afraid - worth waiting for someone who can give you more definitive answer.

I thought it would be a long shot. I might need to invest in a hawkeye.

They're about £300 - so not cheap. Might be worth putting a thread up to see if there's anyone local who might let you use their's. There's nothing on the LZ International Rescue around Dublin.
