Hi,

Have been looking at RR this week with serious intent to buy. However, we were out of luck, and we decided to go for a test drive of a 4.0 se as there were no hse models near to us.
At 40mph + it felt awful! - My wife who was in the back said it was like being at sea, and I have to agree it felt like we would 'fall' over the car was so drunk!

Is this character of the se / hse and air suspension? Or simply a poorly maintained RR?

I felt the car look shabby, but havn't got anything to compare to at the moment.

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

what ride position was it in? there are 4 to choose. Off-Road, Normal, Motorway & Load. If it was locked in off-road, im sure it would have a bit of a roll. if you avg under 50mph it should auto select normal. once you get on the motorway, or avg over 50mph it will auto choose motorway mode, which stiffens it up.

Hi, Sorry for the delay replying.
It was in normal mode, we were hovering on the 50 mark. I noticed it had selected motorway by the end of the dual carage way. I'm going to guess it stayed in normal mode.

Can you manually select motorway for driving all the time??

I'm waiting for the RR to come into the garage before I can drive the one I will most likely be getting. (Assuming nobody beats me to it!!)
I will have to select motorway manually, and see if that helps.

The ride quality on mine is fantastic. I would drive a very good example from a main dealer to what the ride should be like. Theres loads out there, dont rush into buying a dodgy one
