Hello all,

A couple of questions from a Newbie, please.

I've just changed the water pump on my 97 300TDi Disco.
After refilling coolant and bringing motor up to normal temperature I noticed that the top rad hose was not hot, and doesn't seem to be full of water. Filled as Haynes told me and am now sposed to wait overnight. Will it be OK tomorrow morning? (I need it to go to work)

Also, while under the bonnet I had a look at the crank case and there seems to be some air pressure when I removed the oil filler cap. Air's not blowing out but there is pressure there. Is this normal?

Thanks for (hopefully) putting my mind at rest. I need to drive all the family down to Spain on Friday and need to be sure the motors OK.

are you sure you did it correctly, filling though the plugs in the thermostat housing etc..?

it could be the thermostat is sticking..

test it:
take it out and put it in a pan of water, and bring it slowly to the boil... see if it opens?
