Aftermarket seats vs bulkhead

I would like to get some nice aftermarket seats, such as the Corbeau RRS.
My TD5 90 has the higish bulkhead e.g.
would this mean these seats sit slightly further forward than my standard ones?

Ive got Corbeau RSS in mine, they sit slightly higher and slighter further in than standard seats but thats it. You will also need adapter plates & the runners from your current LR seats. Sportsseats4U do them for a decent price as do LRI Solutions. I would suggest the regular base not the lowered base and for £80 extra each can be heated - Well worth it.

That's exactly where I was going to get them from.
But I was getting the lower base ones, as i thought it would make getting in and out easier?
 
I tried them all out at a show. It does make it a little easier to get in and out but makes them pretty useless as bucket seats! I've had mine for over a year and no issues getting in and out. They are very comfy, really hold you in place off road but still comfy. The heaters work excellently, warm up fast too. Easy as pie to wire in, all comes with a loom inc switches.

Once thing I found that was a pain was the seatbelt fasteners. On first fitting it appears the seats dont fit! Though you have to fold them fully forward to get them in, then once in recline them back and they will slide in! Also the nuts and bolts on my LR runners where seized and rusty so I ended up buying new ones to fit, keep it in mind if you want them fitted same day.

I suggest getting some Auto Glym as well to keep em nice, I do mine once a month.
 
No, those are generally fine. Ive taken mine out 100s times with no issues. The issue is the runners on the seats.

The Corbeaus do not come with runners or any way to fit them without the LR seat runners unless it specifically says so. If they dont come with the mounting gear then you need the mounting plate as well which is £85 a side I think

I think they offered that to me as well, the sliders fit the seats but not the Landy!

Basically you bolt the subframe/adaptor plate into the seat via 4 bolts, then you bolt the sliders to the subframe and the sliders to the LR seatbox.

Its easy to do, from you pics you have original seats fitted. So pop out n have a look, there will be 3 Phillips heads running down either side, lather these in gallons of Plus Gas. I had to drill out the majority of mine, then hammer the captive nuts out and replace, some of the captives where fine though.

Then get some replacement nuts and bolts M8 high tensile are the ones you want. I used nice allen key/socket heads on mine with some stainless washers.
