Hi all,

New to the landy club, just got a 91 defender 90 last week.
It needs a fair bit of tlc but I got it as a project.

I need to get a new rad as its leaking around the oil cooling section of the rad.
Looking on fleabay there are loads of options; ones with plastic headers (currently what it has) and full metal articles.

Could anyone recommend a radiator or two?

It's a 200tdi with diagonal inlets for the coolant.

Much apriciated,

Joe.

I bought the metal one as I was told they had seen a few of the plastic tank ones back as leaking, but a few people have posted on here they have had no issues.
Mines been on roughly 3 years and as expected is still good
I got it from Island 4x4

I am currently on the lookout for one as my current radiator is almost 8 years old and the fins are flaking. I found a link on ebay of a firm in the netherlands that is selling all-alu rads for £120. Has anyone got any experience of them?

Thanks for the link blue, that's what mine currently looks like with the plastic header tanks.

Reins do you have a link to that firm? I have seen "2fast2cool" full Ali rads on eBay but read that the ports for the oil cooler aren't very straight.

Bearmach (as well as others) still do an all metal rad, OE quality at a very reasonable price (cheaper than a re-core believe it or not).

+ 1 for the plastic header rads. I've had mine for 3yrs now and it's been fine. Had a hard life as well.

If you're made of money Allisport do a sexy looking uprated one.
