Hi All
Just joined today as I have just bought another disco a 1994 2.0MPI, I opened the drivers window yesterday and the rail on the bottom of the glass fell into door cavity, hence window not working, I can get a second hand window with rail attached, but can anyone tell me how to fit it, any advice would be much appreciated regards Len

having replaced the drivers side door on my 93 disco, a couple of weeks ago I can.

You remove the door panel obviously. but to get the window in you also have to remove the top half of the door and the window channel (all one piece) this is held on by 2 bolt inside the bottom of the door one on each channel, and if my memory serves me right 3 bolts at the top (they're easy to spot when you look.)

Once you've undo all the bolts just lift the full channel/doortop up and put it to one side. Then slide the glass down inside the door and locate it onto the 2 rollers on the lift mechanism. Lift the window about halfway up and then replace the door top. then loosely refit all the bolts and raise the window to make sure it sits in place. Once your happy that it does lower it slightly and tighten all the bolts up. replace door liner and the jobs a good un.

I'd suggest greasing the channel that the glass fits to to prevent further corrosion.
